*I know I’ve been blogging like crazy today, but I think I feel the need to make up for the lack of blog the past few days. Hopefully, it’s quantity and quality.*
So, Paul McCartney has put out a new album, released it at Starbucks stores worldwide (which means it’s everywhere and across the street from everywhere.) Now Sir Paul is playing a secret concert.Wait, you might be thinking the same thing that I was when I decided to write this, if it’s secret how do I know about it? It’s the whole point of secret keeping it unknow
n…hence the word secret.
Anywho, McCartney is playing an intimate gathering at the Highline Ballroom in New York on June 13th. The doors open at 7 p.m. and a limited amount of free wristbands will be made available at 12:30 p.m.
Now, I love love love Paul McCartney. I love the Beatles, I love Wings, and I love the whole solo thing. I’ll even admit to liking the whole Michael Jackson collaboration thing (please don’t cane me.) But I also understand that Paul is not a young guy. He’s probably as old as my mom (if not older) and I know that my mom (who’s wonderful and very energetic) is not getting around very well as of late and is getting on in years. So I’m wondering why Sir Paul is not taking it easy, chilling out, making an appearance every now and then, but definitely not putting out another album or doing tours and random “secret” gigs. I understand that he’s had to pay around $60 million to his newly ex-wife, but doesn’t he have more money than God?
So, my dear dear Paul, please try and take it easy. Be sure to get enough sleep and enough water (that really goes for everyone) I worry about you.
