Hi, my name is Beth and I’m addicted to…well I’m not sure I’m addicted to anything at the moment, it just seemed like a good thing to say. I’m currently a 22-year-old, student at a college in Indiana. I am majoring in political science and journalism.
I’ve li
ved in Indiana my whole life. I have actually called the same town “home” for twenty of my twenty-two years. I’ve only really lived in one other town my entire life. I have also had the same best friend since…well honestly I can’t remember when we became best friends, she’s just always been there…birth. (If you’re looking for some God then check out her blog.)
I grew up in this tiny town in southern Indiana. My parents were/are wonderful. My mother, Marilyn, is a teacher and a devout Christian. My father, Lowery, was a preacher. They met while they were in college at Lincoln Christian Seminary. They moved around some (though not really all that much as preachers go.) They had my three OLDER siblings Scott, Jill, and Jeff (in that order,) and a little under 16 years after Jeff was born I came along.
My education was not the best, growing up “small” towns in Indiana. There wer
e some great teachers, though they were few and far between. I did learn a few things and devoured books like I was a two-year-old with a Gold Card in FAO Schwartz. I’ve attended two different colleges and majored in two different subject, the first anthropology and the second political science (I would like to quash the belief that I change majors like I change T-shirts.) I’m not sure that I’ll ever be satisfied with my major, I love to learn and I’m just interested in too many things.
Since I have been in college I’ve mainly worked on the staff of the school magazine and newspaper. I’ve worked as a reported, a “designer,” a “photographer,” a managing editor, and an Editor-in-Chief. Amid doing all of this great stuff I met the love of my life and my best-guy-friend Alex (he has too many blogs to count, but here’s one.)
So currently I’m going to school and studying my butt off. I’ve gotten my heart broken by the love of my life, though he’s still the love of my life and my best-guy-friend. Other than that, I’m doing whatever I please and loving it.
Politics: Liberal…Super Liberal (which makes me sound like a superhero and I love that.)
Loves: Grammar, Books, Movies (especially documentaries,) “Smart” TV, etc.
Hates: I have no idea, I’ll get back to you though.
